Pairing Alexa to the Hopper

With Alexa integration, customers can now control functions on a Hopper family receiver without having to pick up a remote. Follow the steps below to set up Alexa and begin using voice commands. Alexa integration will only work with the new UI.

1	Open the Alexa app and enable the DISH TV setting/skill under Home > Music, Video, & Books > DISH TV
2	40.0 Remote: Press the MENU button 50.0/52.0/54.0 Remote: Press the HOME button twice
3	Select Settings
4	Select Amazon Alexa
5	Select Get Code
6	Enter the code on screen into the Alexa app when prompted
7	Go to the Alexa App and click Done. Wait for the app to search for discoverable devices.
8	Select your Hopper, Joey, or Wally receiver from the list and click “Continue”
9	Select the Amazon Alexa device and click Link Devices
10	The receiver and Alexa-enabled device are now paired. Use voice commands to control your DISH viewing experience.
